Dynamic tourism drives rural revitalization in Yangquan

The booming tourism in the town has attracted 13 local villages to join in the rural tourism development cause, to help alleviate poverty.
Maopu village, for one, has been building an agricultural park, a mountain ring trail, an irrigation system, a farm produce processing plant.
There's also a farming cultural museum and a 13-hectare cultural industrial park has been established featuring agritourism and farming culture.
Meanwhile, Liangjiazhai's infrastructure has been upgraded, coinciding with the developing rural tourism.
Key projects, such the Taihang Mountain No 1 tourist road project and a tourist distribution center, have proceeded smoothly as planned.
Dachang ancient village has completed renovation of residential buildings, undergone environmental improvement, as well as the construction of road landscape belts and scenic area gates and parking lots. Maopu, Denghua and Yuzaokou villages have built dams.
As a result, the tourism prosperity has led to economic growth in the town, creating more jobs and increasing the incomes of villagers.
"To realize rural revitalization, it is necessary to find our own position," summed up Fu Quanzhen, party chief of Liangjiazhai town.
"For Liangjiazhai town, we have taken tourism as a focus (seeing)… smooth rural development over the past years."
