However with the beautiful nearby scenery deep in the mountains and the rich cultural heritage of the town's ancient village of Dachang being discovered by tourists in recent years, Liangjiazhai town is fast becoming known to more and more people.

As a result, the town started to develop rapidly with several highways and tourist roads which opened up to traffic.

Dachang ancient village further developed and Dachang hot springs opened to tourists.

The town's tourism resources have been systematically expanded, after being planned out and developed over the past few years -- and tourism featuring health care, red tourism and green tours have become the new driving force behind local tourism development.

The town plans to develop itself into a well-known health care and recreation destination in North China -- integrating hot spring spas, health care, sports and leisure, ancient village exploration and agricultural tourism.

As for red tourism, Liangjiazhai town -- with many related relics sites -- last year renovated the former residences of Zhu De (1886-1976) and Ren Bishi (1904-1950) who made great contributions to the people's liberation and China's independence.

In addition, a revolutionary historical memorial hall covering an area of one hectare was also built near Dachang ancient village in the town, displaying 127 exhibits.

When it comes to green tours, the town plans to build a countryside attraction -- where lotus flowers, roses, and traditional Chinese medicine will be planted -- and construct an ecological corridor along the Hutuo River.

To further boost its popularity and integrate culture and tourism, Liangjiazhai town is also exploring its cultural resources.

The town has held river lantern festival each year since 2017, which has attracted crowds of tourists.

Another annual culture festival themed around persimmon fruit which is a specialty of the town has been held since 2016, winning favor with visitors.
