The Shanxi Association for Science and Technology recently rated 22 public venues and institutions in Yangquan city in North China's Shanxi province as provincial science education bases. 

The newly recognized science education bases cover a wide range of fields including medicine, culture, education, information technology, meteorology, firefighting, agriculture, and tourism.

In recent years, the Yangquan Association for Science and Technology has made the construction of science education bases an important measure to popularize science. 

Regular science education activities have been carried out. So far, there are 46 provincial science education bases in the city.
