Dayangquan village in the city of Yangquan in North China's Shanxi province was founded 1,300 years ago and has been known for its charming scenery since ancient times.

The village has abundant spring water, with a spring called Yangquan giving the village its name. There are ancient ginkgos, thousand-year-old locusts, theaters, attics, temples, wells, and residences in the village.

It was included in the fifth Chinese historical and cultural villages in 2010 and was included among the first traditional Chinese villages in 2012. The existing village covers an area of 255,000 square meters, making it the largest existing ancient village in Yangquan.
