Stage show depicts fortress history in Yangquan

A stage show called Meet Niangzi Pass recently debuted in the Niangzi Pass scenic area in the city of Yangquan in North China's Shanxi province.
The show was produced by domestic live performance directors Cong Mingling and Zhang Dong's team at the invitation of Shanxi Culture and Tourism Investment Holding Group.
The main storyline is about the deeds of Princess Pingyang from the Tang Dynasty (618-907) and the Niangzi Pass, an important fortress on the Great Wall, serves as the backdrop.
Through the combination of multimedia technology and high-tech three-dimensional stage installations, the performance allows audiences to experience an infinite artistic charm and rich and unique local culture.
Wang Lin, general manager of Shanxi Culture and Tourism Investment Holding Group, said that in recent years, the company and Yangquan authorities have jointly promoted the development, construction and quality upgrading of the Niangzi Pass scenic area and successfully upgraded it into a national 4A-rated tourist attraction.
The stage show has further enhanced the market influence and branding of local scenic areas.
