The Shanxi Provincial People's Association for Friendship With Foreign Countries held a launch ceremony for the "Shanxi in My Eyes+" series of activities in the city of Yangquan in North China's Shanxi province on Aug 18 and 19. 

The series of activities includes a short video shooting contest focusing on intelligent life in the province, the 2022 "My Story of Chinese Hanzi" international competition, and a lecture contest among expats in Shanxi. 

The activities are meant to establish more platforms for direct communication between expats and Chinese nationals in the province and provide more sources of information for mutual understanding. 

A Pakistani student studying in Shanxi and witnessing the rapid development of the province made a speech at the launch ceremony.

After the launch ceremony, international students toured Yangquan, recording, learning and experiencing the city's history, culture, development goals, and technology.
