The National Intelligent Social Governance Experimental Base (Urban Management) was founded in Pingding county of Yangquan in North China's Shanxi province on June 30.

Pingding was selected among the first 10 national intelligent social governance experimental bases in the urban management sector in 2021. It's the only of its kind in Shanxi and the only county-level experimental base in China.

The county will further promote data resource gathering and sharing, the intensive construction of a business system, and the construction of functional departments' coordinated management system so as to enhance primary governance capabilities. 

It will promote the digital transformation and development of various sectors, including rural vitalization, environmental treatment, public safety, and public services.

By 2025, Pingding will strengthen the basic support of digital infrastructure, data resources, and network security, boost the digital economy, and improve digital government governance and information-benefiting services.
