Yangquan athlete wins intl trampoline championships
Hu Yicheng, an athlete at the Yangquan Sports School in Yangquan, North China's Shanxi province, won the women's synchronized trampoline jumping competition together with her Shanxi partners in the 35th FIG World Championships in trampoline and double mini-trampoline in Azerbaijan on Nov 20.
The championships held in the capital of Baku from Nov 18 to 21 attracted 13 Chinese participants, including three from Shanxi.
The 23-year-old Hu was the third trampoline world champion from the Yangquan Sports School and the first athlete from Shanxi to become world champion in women's synchronized trampoline jumping.
She enrolled at the Yangquan Sports School in 2011 and joined the Shanxi provincial trampoline athlete team that same year.
This September, she won gold in the women's trampoline team event for Shanxi at the 14th National Games in Xi'an, Northwest China's Shaanxi province, from Sept 15 to 27.
