The Yangquan branch of Shanxi Big Data Center and Yangquan Cloud Era Technology Co were recently founded in the city of Yangquan in North China's Shanxi province, to prioritize the development of the digital economy.

The two establishments will participate in Yangquan's digital governance and smart city development relying on new-generation information technologies such as big data and cloud computing.

Specifically, the Yangquan branch of the Shanxi Big Data Center will work hard to realize data connections between Yangquan and the rest of the province, accelerate data interconnection, promote the formation of unified data technology standards and data management norms across the province, and finally realize the provincial intensive development of computing power, algorithms, data, and application resources and the overall development of service innovation.

Yangquan Cloud Era Technology Co will make full use of new-generation information technology to advance the city's big data industry cluster layout, industrial entity cultivation, platform construction, and application promotion.

It plans to promote the construction of digital government and accelerate the development of emerging industrial clusters so as to help Yangquan build a modern industrial system.

Yangquan is a State-supported pilot city for smart internet of things application and new smart city construction supported by Shanxi. It boasts unique strengths and a solid foundation for the development of the digital economy.

In recent years, the city has accelerated the construction of government data informatization and the digital information industry, focusing on promoting a number of projects related to smart transportation and education.
