Productive CPC municipal congress held in Yangquan city

The 13th CPC Yangquan Municipal Congress was held in the city of Yangquan in North China's Shanxi province on Sept 27-29, with a total of 428 Party representatives attending.
Lei Jiankun, Party secretary of Yangquan, made a report to the congress on behalf of the 12th CPC Yangquan Municipal Committee, reviewing the past five years' work achievements and looking forward to the city's development over the next five years.
In the past five years, Yangquan has reportedly fulfilled its goal of building a well-off society in an all-round way.

The city's overall development and services have been improved, as well as reforms and innovation have been extended. The quality and standard of living of its residents and social welfare is also understood to have made significant progress.
Improvements in cultural development, government and the rule of law has also been seen in the city.
Plans are that in the next five years, Yangquan will further increase its high-quality development through the implementation of a series of strategies – including prioritizing improvements in the digital economy, innovation, the business environment, as well as consolidating eco-friendly achievements and improving people's living standards.
