Yangquan and Chesterfield became sister cities after they signed a friendship agreement on Sept 24, 1987.
Berrechid city, Morocco
Berrechid is a city in the Berrechid Province of the Casablanca-Settat region in the country of Morocco in North Africa, 30 kilometers away from its economic capital Casablanca and covering an area of 33 square kilometers.
The economy of Berrechid is dominated by industry, agriculture and animal husbandry.
In June 2019, at the invitation of the Moroccan Enterprise Confederation, a delegation of the government of Chengqu district of Yangquan city in North China's Shanxi province visited Morocco. During the visit, the Yangquan delegation established good relations with the government of Berrechid.
The two sides signed a memorandum on the development of friendly city relations in Yangquan on Sept 3, 2019, the day after a delegation of Berrechid began a visit to the Chinese city.
