Baidu upgrades vital network security in Yangquan
The Baidu (Yangquan) Innovation Center -- based in Yangquan city, North China's Shanxi province -- recently carried out technological innovation in a vital network security upgrade, to promote the industry transformation of the city.
The innovation center is an artificial intelligence (AI)-focused innovation and entrepreneurship incubation platform created by Chinese internet giant Baidu Inc.
It aims to create an entire industry chain for the AI field and gather top people and funds through industrial-teaching-research cooperation, officials said.
They said the center has set up a team to visit various companies regularly, so as to understand their recent developments and the situation of employees and establish record books for sorting out public security issues, troubleshooting, resolving disputes and investigating potential safety hazards.
Especially in network security upgrades, it has made full use of its core security capabilities in intelligent big data, network offense and defense, as well as emergency responses to effectively defeat criminal behavior.
Officials said it has offered companies settling in the center a safe operation platform to handle safety incidents -- and helped them establish a complete safety defense system to combat telecommunications fraud.
In addition, the center has also played an active role in handling anti-counterfeiting on the internet, dispelling malicious internet rumors and preventing user information from being disclosed.
