Zhu Cunye, born in Pingding county in Yangquan city in China's North Shanxi province in 1936, is a famous travel writer, a member of the Chinese Prose Society and a member of the Shanxi Provincial Writers' Association. 

Zhu has developed deep love in literature and writing since his youth. Over the past three decades, he has traveled across China more than 100 times, going to more than 600 cities and counties around the country – journeying an estimated 130,000 kilometers in total. 

To date, he has been written up his experiences and thoughts in 11 travelogue books containing more than 3 million words.
