Coronavirus infections in Yangquan cured

Another case of the novel coronavirus pneumonia was cured and discharged from hospital in Yangquan city in China's North Shanxi province on Feb 24, according to the Third People's Hospital of Yangquan.

Officials said Yangquan city has been focusing on prevention and control of the epidemic since the outbreak.

As a designated hospital for treatment of the virus, the Third People's Hospital of Yangquan has increased the number of isolation wards and beds for medical observation, adjusted the setting of fever clinics and enabled the logistic complex to serve as a fever clinic, with more than 100 doctors and nurses on duty. 

Officials said the hospital has formulated a comprehensive diagnosis and treatment plan. 

It has invited provincial and municipal experts to provide on-site guidance and telemedicine services, while adopting psychological counseling and various treatment methods, integrating Chinese and Western medicine.

Currently, all four confirmed patients in Yangquan have been cured and discharged.

Officials said no suspected cases were reported in the past eight days in the city.
