March 15 saw the successful power delivery of the 110 kV Xiayuan Substation for Taiyuan's Metro Line 1, which has laid a solid foundation for ensuring the metro line's completion and opening by the end of the year.

The first phase of Taiyuan's Metro Line 1 spans 28.74 kilometers, with a total of 24 stations. The Xiayuan and Zhongxinjie East 110 kV substations will serve as the heart of this metro line, providing power support for the normal operation of metro vehicles, communication signals, ventilation, and lighting systems.

The line starts from Xishan Mining Bureau and runs to Wusu International Airport, passing through Wanbailin, Yingze, and Xiaodian districts.

It will serve as a key urban rail transit line connecting Taiyuan Railway Station and Taiyuan South Railway Station, adding a major artery to the urban transportation network. Once operational, it will enhance Taiyuan's role as a comprehensive national transportation hub, accelerate the city's development as a regional center, and play a crucial role in promoting the integrated development of Taiyuan's metropolitan area.
