Taiyuan, capital of North China's Shanxi province, will issue some 600 talent green cards, according to a press conference by the information office of the Taiyuan municipal government on Feb 4.

The talent green card primarily serves various high-level talents in Taiyuan, with the service period set at three years.

The services cover 22 items across six categories, including innovation and entrepreneurship, livelihood security, life services, transportation, and housing security.

For instance, under the innovation and entrepreneurship category, services include tailored "one-on-one" investment attraction services for eligible cardholders, cooperation with banks for financial services, technological innovation services, project approval, company registration, and proxy services for license application.

The Taiyuan talent green card comes in two forms: physical and virtual. Talents can register and obtain an "e-green card" after passing the review through the "Bingzhou Yingcai" WeChat mini-program.

Taiyuan will dynamically adjust its services based on the tiered classification of talents in order to provide targeted services for various types of talents.
