Yangquan, Putian forge strategic industrial partnership
On March 10, a delegation led by Lei Jiankun, Party secretary of Yangquan, visited Putian in Fujian province for a study and exchange visit.
The delegation met with Fu Chaoyang, Party secretary of Putian, and signed a strategic cooperation agreement to foster industrial synergy between the two cities.
Lei expressed admiration for Putian's high-quality development achievements. She emphasized Yangquan's rich historical and cultural heritage, abundant resources, strategic location, and pleasant climate.
Lei noted that Yangquan is building a modern industrial system with unique local advantages to cultivate new quality productive forces and promote comprehensive transformation and high-quality development.
She highlighted that Putian's development of a vibrant private economy and distinctive industries offers valuable insights for Yangquan's transition from a resource-based economy and expressed hope that both cities will use their strengths to establish a new model of regional coordinated development.
The cooperation plan focuses on three main areas: strengthening industrial collaboration, deepening project cooperation, and improving coordination mechanisms. Lei added that authorities will be committed to creating favorable conditions and a supportive environment to deepen cooperation.
Fu welcomed Lei and her delegation, saying that Putian is concentrating on industrial development, urban and rural construction, grassroots governance, residents' wellbeing, and port development.
He hoped the agreement marks a new beginning for expanding cooperation, fostering high-level interactions, and facilitating talent exchanges, leading to more fruitful outcomes and a new chapter of friendship.
