The rising popularity of the film Ne Zha 2 has sparked a wave of Ne Zha-themed art in Yangquan, including Zisha clay Ne Zha, sand art Ne Zha, and murals. Among these, a giant Ne Zha graffiti mural by artist Zhang Yu has captured significant attention and become a viral sensation.

Each part of the mural tells a story, blending the vibrant and dynamic image of Ne Zha with local elements such as trains, coal, and the Wei'erkang brand to showcase the city's distinct character. Measuring 10 meters high and 12 meters wide, it is currently the largest Ne Zha-themed mural in Yangquan.

"My goal is to combine trending topics with my hometown's culture to create unique, original works," Zhang explained. "Ne Zha is very popular right now, and I want to connect it with Yangquan elements through my art so more people can learn about Yangquan."

Zhang, a graduate of Tianjin Normal University, has been creating wall murals for eight years. This giant Ne Zha mural follows her notable works, including two "Wukong" murals and the "Shen Gongbao" mural during this year's Spring Festival.

The mural quickly attracted residents eager to take photos and share their experiences. Internet blogger Lu Zihong commented, "This Ne Zha mural is stunning. The artwork is visually striking and vibrant. I love it!"

Zhang plans to create more vivid works, using murals to tell Yangquan's stories, spread its culture, and integrate aesthetics into urban development. "This is not just a painting, it's a deep expression of my love for my hometown. I hope my murals can contribute to Yangquan's cultural tourism development," Zhang said.
