The Yangquan agriculture and rural affairs bureau recently announced an updated list of enterprises and products authorized to use the "Yangquan Selenium Products" regional public brand. 

This development marks a substantial expansion of the brand's official certification. The number of authorized enterprises has increased to 56, and the range of authorized products has grown to 134, showcasing greater diversity. 

Yangquan, with its 638,500 mu (42,566 hectares) of selenium-rich arable land, values the high-quality development of its selenium-enriched agricultural industry. Establishing a regional public brand for selenium-enriched agricultural products is a crucial step in this direction. 

Yangquan has guided selenium industry operators in forming a cohesive supply chain. In November 2023, the city launched the "Yangquan Selenium Products" regional public brand. The initial batch of authorized enterprises included 25 companies, and their products included grains, meat, eggs, vegetables, and tea beverages. 

Efforts are ongoing to build online and physical marketing platforms for "Yangquan Selenium Products", establish a selenium-enriched agricultural products exhibition and sales center, and conduct frequent promotional activities.

Field research has also been conducted on authorized enterprises. Non-compliant companies have been instructed to rectify issues within a specified period.

The Yifengchang Planting Cooperative is among the new entrants on the list of authorized enterprises. Their selenium-enriched cherries have also received certification.
