Villages in Yangquan, Shanxi province, come alive with vibrant decorations and festive cheer during the Spring Festival.

In Taolingou village, red lanterns are hung high, with intricately designed decorations themed around the Year of the Snake scattered throughout, symbolizing good fortune and prosperity.
