Shanxi TV Drama Week kicks off in Niangziguan

The inaugural Niangziguan Shanxi TV Drama Week opened on Nov 18 in Yangquan city, North China's Shanxi province. The event celebrates the province's dedication to promoting traditional culture through innovative storytelling and high-quality TV productions.
Yangquan, known for its rich cultural heritage and natural beauty, has become a fertile ground for artistic inspiration. As the birthplace of popular science fiction works like The Three-Body Problem and The Wandering Earth, the city continues to spark creativity. Hosting the first Shanxi TV Drama Week aims to enhance the influence of Yangquan and Shanxi's TV industry while fostering its development and high-quality content creation.

The week-long event includes themed discussions, project showcases, and cultural excursions. Outstanding achievements were recognized with awards, with Yu Chenglong and Secretaries of Youyu and Her County Committee receiving Outstanding TV Drama Awards. Wu Ziniu won Best Director, and Chen Taishen won Best Actor for Yu Chenglong.
The opening ceremony featured captivating performances showcasing Shanxi's cultural heritage, such as Yangquan's signature Wuyagu drum and dance. Leaders and media representatives from Shanxi's broadcasting sector attended the event, making it a memorable celebration of the region's artistic achievements.
