In recognition of its achievements in improving urban living standards, Yangquan in North China's Shanxi province has been selected as a national pilot city for the "15-Minute Convenience Life Circle" program. This initiative aims to create accessible and efficient community services, offering residents essential services within a 15-minute radius.
In recent years, Yangquan has optimized its community infrastructure by focusing on residents' basic needs, such as healthcare, childcare, and fitness, while enhancing commercial offerings to create a diverse consumer environment. The city's pilot projects have led to the establishment of several 15-minute life circles across local communities, improving residents' quality of life.

One notable example is the Saiyu Commercial Street area, which has transformed into a vibrant hub with over 160 commercial outlets. These include restaurants, supermarkets, and entertainment venues, ensuring residents have everything they need nearby. The city has also embraced digital services, including the "Smart Saiyu" program, which integrates e-commerce, big data, and logistics to improve service delivery.
As part of this initiative, Yangquan has also worked on developing specialized services, such as elderly care and healthcare, to meet the needs of its aging population. The success of these programs reflects the city's commitment to improving the well-being of its residents while promoting community-centered growth.
