On Oct 16, Zimbabwean Ambassador to China Abigail Shonhiwa led a delegation to visit Huayang Group and discuss enhanced cooperation. Yanquan's Vice-Mayor Ju Aiyun attended the meeting hosted by Zhang Xusheng, director and chairman of the Huayang Group Union.

Zhang warmly welcomed the delegation and introduced Huayang Group's development, emphasizing its position as China's largest anthracite producer and a key state-owned enterprise. Focusing on coal and new energy materials, Huayang is committed to accelerating project opportunities and strengthening collaboration with Zimbabwe. Zhang wanted to enhance communication channels, streamline investment mechanisms, and ensure project success for mutual benefit.

Ambassador Shonhiwa praised Huayang's expertise in mining and chemicals and outlined Zimbabwe's commitment to creating a supportive investment environment. She highlighted plans to build a state-of-the-art industrial park in Zimbabwe's Matabeleland North province, which will significantly contribute to agriculture and industrial development across Zimbabwe and Africa.

Following the talks, the delegation visited Huayang's chemical facilities in Yuxian county.
