Yangquan shows its cultural tourism potential at promotion

A cultural tourism promotion event took place on Sept 24 in Yuxian county in Yangquan, highlighting the city's special charms.
The event featured exciting performances, expert discussions and the forging of strategic partnerships – fostering exchanges between Yangquan and various cities within and outside the province.
Held at the same time, the 2024 Yangquan Autumn Cultural Tourism Season was launched.
The promotion event attracted the participation of representatives from major tourism hubs – including Shijiazhuang and Baoding cities in North China's Hebei province – as well as travel agencies from Beijing, Tianjin and East China's Shanghai.
The event is said to have served as a platform for deepening collaboration with partners and raising Yangquan's overall profile. A promotional video showcased stunning sites – from the majestic Cangshan Mountain to the historic Niangziguan Pass – enthralling the audience with the region's rich heritage.

Performances of segments from popular local Yagu folk shows and local songs captivated the audience, adding to the fun and excitement. Tourism ambassadors creatively presented some of the region's key attractions, enabling guests to learn about Yangquan's scenic beauty.
Significant agreements were signed between the China Tourism Scenic Area Association and the local tourism bureau, paving the way for future collaboration.
The event also showcased local handicrafts, including intricate paper-cutting and pottery, attracting attention from visitors.
With numerous activities planned for the upcoming autumn season, Yangquan is poised to boost its cultural tourism offerings and draw more visitors.
