Yangquan's material, chemical industry grows strongly in H1

The materials and chemicals industry accounted for 11 percent of total industrial output of Yangquan in North China's Shanxi province in the first half of the year.
According to Yangquan's statistics bureau, the materials and chemicals industry's added value grew by 10.4 percent in the six months compared with the same period last year – contributing 0.8 percentage points to overall industrial growth.
Driven by vigorous key business enterprises such as Kangbote and Zhaofeng Tiancheng Aluminum, the non-ferrous metal industry saw a hefty 35 percent increase in added value during the period, contributing 0.7 percentage points to the city's industrial growth.
The chemicals industry also experienced significant growth, with an added value increase of 41.7 percent year-on-year, driven by the expanding production capacity of Do-Fluoride and the high demand for products from Shanxi Tongguan New Materials.
Overall, this sector contributed an additional 0.2 percentage points to the overall industrial growth of Yangquan during the first half.
