The Fourth People's Hospital of Yangquan, formerly known as Yangquan Railway Hospital, was founded in 1958. It was transferred to the municipal government in November, 2004 and renamed The Fourth People's Hospital of Yangquan in January, 2007.

It was entrusted with the Yangquan Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital in August 2017. At the end of 2018, it qualified as a 2nd-grade A-level hospital. The hospital covers a total land area of 10,960 square meters, and has a building area of 19,355 square meters. The hospital has fixed assets of 91.64 million yuan, and more than 430 items of medical equipment.
