2024 Yangquan Niangzi Pass Half Marathon kicks off

On April 21, the 2024 Yangquan Niangzi Pass Half Marathon started with a gunshot in Pingding county, Yangquan city, North China's Shanxi province. The event attracted over 5,000 runners from across the country.

Themed "Running Freely in Ancient Pingding, Stepping into Beautiful Yangquan," the event featured three categories: half marathon, 10-kilometer run, and a mini run. These categories cater to professional, amateur runners as well as running enthusiasts. The racecourse traversed the entire main urban area of Pingding, offering participants a chance to appreciate its beautiful scenery and unique cultural charm.

This event aims to further enhance Pingding's reputation as a place that is rich in history. It also promotes the integrated development of the city's sports, tourism, culture, agriculture, and commerce sectors.
