Yangquan's top political advisory body hosts annual session

On March 19, the third plenary session of the 14th Yangquan Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) opened in Yangquan, North China's Shanxi province.
During the session, CPPCC members will focus on key issues concerning the city's overall situation and the concerns of the people, fulfilling their duties, offering advice, and contributing wisdom and strength to Yangquan's vigorous development.
Guo Weidong, chairman of the CPPCC Yangquan Municipal Committee, delivered a work report to the conference. The report was divided into two parts: a review of the work completed in 2023, and the main tasks for 2024.
In his report, Guo emphasized the importance of addressing challenges, promoting economic and social development, improving people's livelihoods, and enhancing ecological protection.
The conference serves as a platform for discussions and proposals to further enhance governance and contribute to the city's progress.
