Athlete Fan Meizhi from Yangquan, North China's Shanxi province, recently clinched the bronze medal in the women's team archery event at the 2024 National Archery Championship, which was held in Wenchang city, South China's Hainan province. 

Organized by the Archery Management Center of the General Administration of Sport, the competition saw the participation of over 500 athletes across 32 teams representing various provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions. The event featured individual and team competitions for both men and women, as well as mixed team events. 

Fan, was drawn to the charm of archery, and began practicing it as a sport at the age of 13. Since then, she has dedicated an hour every day to archery training, progressing from her school team to the city archery team, and eventually to the provincial archery team.
