Yangquan in North China's Shanxi province recently met the evaluation criteria for a national gigabit city, with key indicators such as 5G and gigabit optical network passing the assessment.

Currently, per 10,000 people have access to 21.29 5G base stations in the city, and 51.14 percent of residents are 5G network users. The proportion of the city's 10 Gbps passive optical network ports has increased to 39.43 percent. All of these achievements have significantly enhanced Yangquan's infrastructure support while also accelerating smart city construction.
