Yangquan committed to enhancing public services, employment

Updated: 2024-01-16

Yangquan in North China's Shanxi province continuously improved public services and stabilized employment in 2023 to enhance the well-being of its residents.

The city established and operated five elderly care service stations, providing care for 6,924 elderly people over the age of 60 in their communities, including meal, emergency, medical, hygiene, and travel assistance, and emotional support. The city also built 12 elderly care service stations and 25 elderly restaurants in communities, enabling residents to access high-quality elderly care services right at their doorstep.

A total of 100 part-time job service stations, one municipal-level part-time job market, and five county-level part-time job markets were established. Since they began operating, the venues have provided policy consultation services to over 14,000 people in the city, helping more than 2,200 individuals secure prospective employment and facilitating the actual employment for over 800 people.

This year, Yangquan will further strengthen social security, enhance the supply of public services, and increase support for special groups while also reinforcing the protection of minors.

Efforts to improve and expand public employment services will continue, leveraging the positive role of the part-time job market and service stations to promote employment. Special attention will be given to serving key enterprises and projects throughout the city, regularly organizing talent recruitment activities and promoting the employment of graduates.
