The Taiyuan Agency of the Patent Department of the China National Intellectual Property Administration and Shanxi Intellectual Property Protection Center's workstation were recently established in Yangquan, North China's Shanxi province.

In recent years, with the rapid increase in the number of market entities and the continuous development of intellectual property (IP), the shortage of IP public service organizations and the limited range of services provided have become increasingly prominent in Yangquan, to some extent restraining IP development in the city. 

The functions of the workstation, and the sense of urgency, are primarily to assist Yangquan's enterprises, institutions, innovation entities, scientific and technological personnel, as well as individual businesses, by providing services such as pre-application consultation for IP rights, IP information searches, consultations on IP policies and projects, and assistance in IP rights protection, further reducing the application and rights protection costs for small and medium-sized enterprises.
