Pingding county inks pact with university in Wuhan with UK links
Pingding county in Yangquan city, North China's Shanxi province, signed a cooperation agreement with the Birmingham Institute of Fashion and Creative Art at Wuhan Textile University on Aug 19.
The two parties have reached a consensus on building an education base, collaborating on think tank research, and exchanging special cultural experiences.
In recent years, Pingding has promoted the deep integration and development of the cultural and tourism industries. Meanwhile, the county has achieved results in areas such as community and rural digital governance, and government services.
The Birmingham Institute of Fashion and Creative Art at Wuhan Textile University, jointly established by Birmingham City University in the United Kingdom and Wuhan Textile University, is the first China-foreign cooperative higher education institute in Central China's Hubei province.
The institute introduces the UK's modern education system and adopts a modular teaching method to cultivate students' design creativity and practical abilities. Currently, it offers majors such as visual communication, environmental design, and digital media arts.
