Yangquan promotes characteristic professional towns at provincial expo

Over 40 companies from Yangquan city have been showing their respective advantages at the 1st Shanxi Characteristic Professional Town Investment and Trade Expo which opened in Datong, North China's Shanxi province, on June 28.
The 450-square-meter exhibition area of Yangquan at the expo highlights the achievements of Yangquan's characteristic professional towns and distinctive industrial products.
The area is divided into nine sections for ones showcasing the coal mining equipment of Kuangqu district, the refractory materials of Jaioqu district and Yuxian county, new energy batteries, the earthenware and selenium-rich agricultural products of Pingding county, as well as for culture and tourism, intangible cultural heritage, and the digital economy.
More than 40 Yangquan exhibitors have been displaying some 500 types of specialty products in more than 40 categories.
According to the Yangquan bureau of industry and information technology, during the three-day expo, Yangquan has planned to participate in forums on the high-quality development of manufacturing industries, specialty agriculture, and exhibitions of intangible cultural heritage, so as to enhance the visibility of Yangquan's leading industries in the characteristic professional towns and distinctive products.
The expo, jointly sponsored by Shanxi Department of Industry and Information Technology, Shanxi Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, Shanxi Department of Culture and Tourism, and Shanxi Department of Commerce, aims to promote characteristic industries and products in Shanxi, further exchanges and cooperation with domestic and foreign companies, and develop local characteristic professional towns into new industrial clusters of manufacturing and consumer goods in northern China.
