Yangquan boosts tourism, health care industries
The city of Yangquan in North China's Shanxi province has promoted its cultural tourism and health care industries by optimizing its business environment and increasing investment over recent years.
A number of projects have been introduced to the city, including two health care communities, two health care towns, one forest health care center, and one pastoral complex.
According to the local government's work report this year, Yangquan will implement the Baili Taihang Landscape Gallery project, and continue to build high-quality scenic spots, rural tourist spots and guesthouses along the Taihang No 1 tourist highway. This will interconnect local traditional villages, cultural landscapes and natural resources with each other and the city.
The city plans to upgrade the local Xiaohe Pingmei and Yinyuan Mountain Villa scenic areas, and add more businesses to the Yangquan Memory·1947 Cultural Park. It will also develop its tourism sector to feature the history of the Communist Party of China; research, ecology, and industry-based tours; and various other tourism events.
In addition, it will build demonstration areas for cultural tourism and health care, while also gathering more market players in leisure tourism, characteristic cultural creativity, tourist services, and health and fitness sectors.
