The 14th Yangquan Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) – the top political advisory body in Yangquan city – started its second session on Feb 20.

The opening conference of the session was attended by 257 political advisers, including Guo Weidong, executive chairman of the conference.

Guo delivered the 14th CPPCC Yangquan Committee's work report to the conference, reviewing the efforts and achievements made over the past year, and then setting out the work plan for the current year.

Wu Jiangong, vice-chairman of the CPPCC Yangquan Committee, reported on the handling of proposals from members of the 14th CPPCC Yangquan Committee at the conference.

Some 411 proposals from individuals, political parties and various organizations have been collected and reviewed since the first session of the 14th CPPCC Yangquan Committee in February, said Guo.

Among the proposals, 372 were put on record for further discussion and implementation, while the other 38 were filed as suggestions.
