Yangquan hosts fair to mark Chinese Farmers' Harvest Festival

The city of Yangquan in North China's Shanxi province held a fair for agricultural products on Sept 26 to mark the 2022 Chinese Farmers' Harvest Festival, which fell on Sept 23 this year.
The event focused on showcasing the fruitful results of agricultural and rural reform, rural industrial development, and human settlement environment improvement.

At the opening ceremony, 10 Yangquan Rural Revitalization Demonstration Villages and Yangquan Rural Craftsmen of 2022 were commended, and various folk performances were staged.
The fair displayed agricultural specialties, selenium-rich agricultural products, the achievements of poverty alleviation and rural vitalization, new agricultural varieties, new agricultural materials and equipment, farmers' art and intangible cultural heritage items.

An exhibition on harvest-themed calligraphy, painting and photography, farming activities, folk crafts, and a farmers' sports meet were also held simultaneously.
In recent years, Yangquan has made every effort to build beautiful and livable villages, with agricultural industrial efficiency improved, farmers' incomes increased and the rural environment enhanced.
