The city of Yangquan in North China's Shanxi province has implemented 10 major projects to improve its health care and medical system in recent years. 

Yangquan has continued to improve services for insured individuals and launched the national medical insurance settlement platform. It has introduced 44 professional individuals and teams from outside the province to alleviate the shortage of high-level medical talent. 

The city has developed one key medical discipline at the provincial level, one key medical major at the provincial level, and 55 key medical disciplines at the municipal level to meet the urgent demand for high-quality medical resources.

In addition, this year, the Yangquan Central Hospital started construction. Once put into use, it will be of great significance to the long-term development of Yangquan's medical and health undertakings and the overall improvement of medical service capacity.
