A ceremony for agreement signing and project construction was held in Yuxian county, Yangquan, in North China's Shanxi province, on Sept 5. 

The city has paid close attention to national and provincial policies, industrial frontiers, key regions and target enterprises, promoted investment, and attracted more quality projects and leading enterprises.

Agreements for 17 projects costing 10.80 billion yuan ($1.56 billion) were signed at the ceremony. They involve new materials, equipment manufacturing, new energy, modern logistics, and modern agriculture.

Also, 51 projects with a total investment of 7.12 billion yuan and involving the new materials, new energy, equipment manufacturing, new modern service industries and infrastructure started construction.
