Yangquan Coal Industry Co, based in Yangquan in North China's Shanxi province, was included in the 2022 Fortune China 500 list, which was released on July 12.

The enterprise ranked 325th on the list, with revenue of 38 billion yuan ($5.63 billion) last year, rising eight places compared with the rankings the previous year.

The 2022 Fortune China 500 list was compiled by the Chinese version of US-based financial magazine Fortune in cooperation with CICC Wealth Management Co, and assessed the performance and achievements of listed Chinese enterprises around the world in 2021.

The total revenue of the Fortune China 500 group reached 62 trillion yuan, increasing 17.4 percent year-on-year, while their combined net profit hit 4.7 trillion yuan, up 9.2 percent. 

The annual revenue threshold for an enterprise to make the list grew to 22.8 billion yuan in 2021, an increase of 31 percent compared with the previous year's threshold.
