Exhibition on intangible cultural heritage held in Yangquan

The 2022 Yangquan Cultural Product (Intangible Cultural Heritage) Exhibition opened in the Yangquan High-tech Industrial Development Zone in Yangquan, North China's Shanxi province, on July 13.
The exhibition hosted by Yangquan Antique City Cultural and Artwork Exchange Co aimed to promote traditional culture, showcase intangible cultural heritage items and cultural products in the city, and advance the normal operation of intangible cultural heritage items.

Cultural products such as ceramics, fine arts, carvings and sculptures, calligraphy works and paintings, and folk handicrafts are on display on the first floor of the exhibition hall. The second floor has set up an interactive experience area, a micro and small-sized cultural business incubation area, an online sales area, and a cultural lecture area.
Eighteen intangible cultural heritage projects, more than 1,000 kinds of cultural products by 47 enterprises and intangible cultural heritage promoters have been exhibited.
During the exhibition, the organizer will also hold folk art performances, traditional handicraft production experience events and Yangquan commentary performances.

"It's a good opportunity for us to display intangible cultural heritage, interact with visitors, establish a sales platform, and make intangible cultural heritage active again," said Wang Xia, head of Shouyifang Handmade Products Co in Pingding county.
Yangquan has long attached great importance to the protection, promotion and utilization of intangible cultural heritage.
There are currently five national-level, 31 provincial-level and 141 municipal-level intangible cultural heritage items and two national-level, 32 provincial-level, and 198 municipal-level intangible cultural heritage promoters.
