A trade fair sponsored by the Management Committee of the Yangquan High-tech Industrial Development Zone was launched on June 25 in Yangquan city.

In recent years, the zone has promoted the implementation of consumption policies while developing the digital economy, new energy and new materials and the modern service industries. It has issued shopping coupons worth more than 1.2 million yuan ($179,298.24) and stimulated consumption of 1.47 million yuan, helping the market recover from the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic.

The trade fair further integrated the resources of local communities and business districts to provide residents with local high-quality products and intelligent living. 

Moving forwards, plans are for the Yangquan High-tech Industrial Development Zone to carry out convenience services in communities, as well as to design and launch mobile phone apps to boost retail online and offline spending.

What's more, night-time markets will be opened in Pingyang Street, Baojin Road, Tianjin Street, and Beihai Road, with at least five night-time market events to be staged between June and August.
