Updated: 2020-09-30

An art exhibition of exquisite purple grit ware that was made in Pingding county -- administered by Yangquan city in North China's Shanxi province -- opened in Yangquan Museum on Sept 28.

Hosted by Yangquan culture and tourism bureau, the exhibition is displaying around 150 pieces of purple grit ware from the county.

The majority of the exhibits were finished during the Republic of China period (1912-1949) and feature strong design characteristics of the times, artistic individuality and cultural connotations.

The exhibition will last five months.
