Yangquan is also rich in tourism resources. The numerous scenic spots, historic sites and natural landscapes are impressive. Famous scenic spots include Niangzi Pass -- the ninth pass of the Great Wall, Guguan Great Wall which was built 150 years before Badaling Great Wall, Mount Cang, where the orphan of Zhao was hidden during the Spring and Autumn Period, Guanshan Academy, where scholars lived in seclusion, the former residence of Shi Pingmei, a famous modern female writer and one of the four talented women of the Republic of China, Guanwang Temple, a treasure of ancient Chinese architecture, Liangjiazhai Hot Spring, a radon hot spring with a water temperature of 80 degrees, Yuhuang Cave, the first cave in Taihang, and Shinao Mountain Forest Park, which has the Memorial (Hall) for the world-famous Hundred-Regiment Campaign. Other scenic spots under development include Dagu Village, Yaolin Temple Forest Park, Wanhua Cave and Yuhua Cave. At present, there are 16 scenic spots in the city that have been formed and opened to the outside world, including four 4A scenic spots, three 3A scenic spots and three 2A scenic spots.
