The opening ceremony for Yangquan city's 17th peach blossom festival and a signing ceremony between Taolingou scenic area and Beijing Taohe Culture and Tourism Industrial Development Co took place in the scenic area on April 11, according to local officials.  

The tourist attraction will work with the company to boost its market-oriented and professional operations, improving its infrastructure and services as well as enhancing its reputation.

Coinciding with Shanxi province's three-month travel event calling on Shanxi locals to travel around the province under the circumstance of improved epidemic situation in the province, Taolingou scenic area has carefully planned its annual peach blossom festival and the resumption of cultural tourism activities. 

Officials said it wants them to recover, boosting the local tourism market effected by the novel coronavirus pneumonia epidemic, while remaining vigilant with its epidemic prevention and control measures.

Currently, 85 percent of scenic spots and stores in the tourist attraction have resumed operation. This year's peach blossom festival will last until the end of April.
