Yangquan firm's tech center settles in local industrial park
The Technology Center of Yangquan Coal Industry Group recently settled in China Navalley Industry Park in Yangquan city, according to park officials.
The technology center has a management department, four research institutes, a national-level laboratory, an academician expert workstation and a postdoctoral research workstation.
The arrival of the center and the resultant increase in scientific research and innovation will attract more high-tech companies to the industrial park and benefit the park's long-term development, according to the director of the park.
Yangquan Coal Industry Group has been promoting tech innovation in recent years by cooperating with over 40 companies and universities from home and abroad – as well as recruiting top people to conduct project research.
To date, the group has established dozens of comprehensive scientific and technological innovation platforms. These include post-doctoral research workstations, academician workstations and key national laboratories.
Officials said that China Navalley Industry Park has been attracting domestic and foreign scientific research institutes and academic groups.
It has also been facilitating cooperation between enterprises, universities and scientific research institutes on intellectual property protection and commercialization of their tech achievements since its operations began in May 2019.
The introduction of the technology center marks the first step taken by the park in developing university-enterprise and expert think tank platforms, according to its director.
It is expected that it will improve the industrial park's industrial technical service capabilities, the director added.
Officials said that at present, China Navalley Industry Park has resumed normal operations in an orderly manner, while ensuring prevention and control of the coronavirus outbreak.
