Yangquan Economic and Technological Development Area -- based in Yangquan city in North China's Shanxi province -- has introduced seven projects through the internet since Feb 10, according to local officials. 

The area signed contracts worth 122 million yuan ($17.35 million) with seven companies during the novel coronavirus epidemic prevention and control period.  

They cover internet information, new materials, the environmental protections sectors. 

These include a 20 million yuan eco-protection equipment and service project being developed by Shanxi Xiangyunxin Environmental Detection Technology Co, as well as a 5G-based indoor and outdoor intelligent parking indicator and intelligent urban traffic sign system project from Dongsen Intelligent Industrial Technology Co.
