Yangquan spurs tech firms' development, amid outbreak battle
The Yangquan science and technology bureau has rolled out a series of measures in Yangquan city in northern Shanxi province, to support the development of tech enterprises in their fight to help defeat the novel coronavirus epidemic.
The measures aim to create a creative environment for innovation.
Officials said they will ease tech companies' operational pressures and boost their confidence amid the epidemic by reducing their overall burden, strengthening their financial support and optimizing the city's scientific and technological services.
In terms of reducing the burden on enterprises, Yangquan city has sped up the implementation of policies, supported companies and teams that meet the policies in advance and sanctioned quick payments to them.
The city has encouraged business incubators to reduce or slow down rent increases for incubating companies and teams.
During the epidemic, small and medium-sized enterprises and teams will be given rent reductions or exemptions as well as science and technology policy support.
As for financial support, officials said Yangquan has improved the efficiency of financial services by establishing fast financing channels for qualified tech companies to solve corporate funding problems.
Officials said that to optimize scientific and technological services, Yangquan has increased project support, strengthened industry-university-research institute cooperation, sent special tech personnel to tech companies and furthered scientific popularization.
