Yangquan sends second medics team to help in Hubei

Yangquan city's second batch of medics to help out Hubei province, the most-affected province hit by the novel coronavirus pneumonia in China, set out on Feb 9, local officials said. 

They followed the first batch from the city in northern Shanxi province which left on Jan 26. 

Yangquan's latest medical aid team consisted of nine doctors and 11 nurses, aged 33 to 46, from the internal medicine, intensive care, emergency and nursing departments of five local hospitals. 

"While trying my best in treatment, I will care for my team members and contribute to the fight against the epidemic," said Zhao Jiabin, deputy chief physician of the emergency department of First People's Hospital of Yangquan and director of the team.

The Yangquan health commission equipped the medical team with personal protective equipment for a week. They were also part of the fourth batch of Shanxi province's medical aid team to go to Hubei.
