Yangquan hospital becomes member of China Parkinson Alliance
Yangquan No 1 People's Hospital was recognized as a member of the China Parkinson Alliance at the second China Parkinson Alliance Conference, recently held in Changsha, capital of Hunan province, according to the organizers.
They said it is the first member hospital of the China Parkinson Alliance in Yangquan city.
Officials said joining the alliance marked the moment that Yangquan No 1 People's Hospital had reached a new stage in the diagnosis and treatment of Parkinson's disease.
They said it also marked the point when it help promote medical institutions in Yangquan city to improve their diagnosis, treatment and clinical research of the disease so as to benefit more local patients, according to the director of Yangquan No 1 People's Hospital.
The China Parkinson Alliance -- launched by Xuanwu Hospital of Capital Medical University, Xiangya Hospital of Central South University and Beijing Tiantan Hospital affiliated to Capital Medical University -- aims to create a resource-sharing platform for medical workers engaged in Parkinson's disease treatment based on the National Clinical Research Center.
Meantime, it aims to establish multi-disciplinary teams to strengthen collaborative innovation, train clinicians, and promote new medical technologies and services for improving services to patients.
